Now is the winter of our discount tents

'Now Is The Winter Of Our Discount Tents, is a new compilation from Manchester's very own home-made and house-proud, singular minded and independent non-record-label, Twisted Nerve.
Having catered to a modest community of lateral thinking music lovers for eight eventful cold summers Andy Votel along with Damon Gough has returned to the original T.N. garden-shed to cultivate a new stream of self-sufficient musical misfits bringing you a catalogue of contemporary hybrid-genres ranging from anatolian-acid-folk to zygotic-zither-music.
Armed with their original arsenal of a genuine adoration for original music and no business plan, the unstaffed T.N. are currently preparing a flock of new, very limited 45rpm EPs of hand-crafted musical anomaly packaged in bespoke sleeves to be released in regular succession throughout the year.
'Now Is The Winter Of Our Discount Tents' is a mid-price musical brochure of what's been happening at Twisted Nerve for the past 18 months while (the majority of) the competitive music industry implodes into a mass of retro-haircuts, company cars and unplugged-pre-packed-progressive-post-punk-power-pop en masse. This is the first of our regular CD catalogues for those who haven,t yet replaced the pick-up on on those trusty old phonograms. Lovingly currated with sinful pride and unsubstantiated self confidence Twisted Nerve unveil their answer to the collossall cut-price compilations that prog-rock labels released religiously before many of us graduated to full-length-pants.
Lend your ears to a congregation of relatively unheard artists as they lend Twisted Nerve the fruits of they're sonic-loins; Such as French-American compact-cassette-chanteuse Lispector, Rochdale's tree-house troglodyte-prog commune Samandtheplants, and Acidic-folk-instrumentalist (favoured by John Renbourne) Boltonian Rick Tomlinson.
Long time friends of Twisted Nerve such as one-man-power-cut Sirconical and the elfyn Luma Lane also debut brand new tracks alongside some of the finest moments from recent acclaimed releases from Rebelski and Jukes and lesser-spotted, staple ingredients from Supreme Vagabond Craftsman (Invisible Spies) and ethereal girl-groop Misty Dixon amongst others.
